**December 17–21, 2026 | 5 Days, 4 Nights**

**Portal Xibalba — Playa del Carmen, Mexico**

Deep within the lush jungle of the Riviera Maya, an invitation awaits you.

An invitation to reconnect with your heart, rediscover your inner voice, and remember the song that lives within you.

**The Song of the Soul** is an intimate five-day retreat bringing together the transformative power of music, ancestral wisdom, and the traditions of Grandmother and Grandfather Medicine.

Guided by Juan Carlos Taminchi and accompanied by Los Indios Beta Medicine Music artists and facilitators, this gathering creates space for deep listening, personal reflection, authentic connection, and meaningful integration.

Through sacred songs, traditional ceremonies, shared experiences, and moments of stillness, participants are invited to explore their relationship with themselves, their community, and the natural world.

### Meet Your Guides

Our gathering brings together experienced ceremonial leaders, traditional wisdom carriers, musicians, and facilitators who share a dedication to ancestral traditions, music, and community.

**Our Grandmother Medicine Ceremonial Leader**

Rooted in the ancestral traditions of the Peruvian Amazon and Andes, our ceremonial leader carries **25 years of experience as an Ayahuasquero, Tabaquero, and Curandero**.

Through traditional Icaros, ceremony, and an intimate connection with the plant realm, he carries his Amazonian and Andean heritage into his work.

He is also involved in a reforestation and eco-preservation retreat center in the heart of the Amazon, dedicated to maintaining ancestral healing traditions and protecting medicinal plant species.

The retreat center welcomes visitors from around the world who come to participate in traditional plant diets and learn from the diverse range of plants native to the region.

With a devotion to serving the Earth, he guides ceremonial gatherings internationally, creating spaces where plant wisdom, ancestral lineage, and community connection come together.

**Musicians & Facilitators**

With **over 10 years of experience in the Medicine Music movement**, the musicians and facilitators joining this retreat have dedicated more than a decade to exploring the relationship between music, self-discovery, and the ancestral worldviews of traditional cultures.

Their music is rooted in the belief that sound and melody can create bridges between the physical and the subtle, opening spaces for introspection, connection, and meaningful personal experiences.

Throughout their journey, they have shared their music at **festivals, gatherings, and ceremonies both within Spain and internationally**, cultivating a growing community united by a shared appreciation for music, ancestral wisdom, and authentic human connection.

Through their performances and workshops, they invite participants to experience music not simply as entertainment, but as a form of expression, reflection, and collective connection.

About the Leader

Oscar De Jesus Bolivar

I am an ordinary man, who since childhood loved the stars, the drawings of clouds in the blue skies, the mountains, ravines: the landscapes of the green Andes. I was born […]
